Introduction and Services

By booking with BrainSTEM Tuition Ltd (“the Company”), you agree to these Terms. We provide qualified Tutors to deliver bespoke online sessions for 11+, KS3, GCSE, A-Level, and Admissions Consultancy. All Tutors undergo qualification verification and enhanced DBS checks to ensure student safety.

Service Definitions & “Bespoke” Nature

    • Bespoke Tuition:Lessons are catered to student needs expressed at the time of the lesson.
    • Topic Responsibility:Tutors are not responsible for failing to cover specific topics if they were not informed in advance via the Acuity Scheduling pre-booking form.
    • Progress Tracking:Progress summaries are provided only for individual lessons booked on a monthly basis and must be requested via the “Contact Us” form.
    • Onboarding:References to “onboarding” or “bespoke revision plans” refer to verbal assessments of attainment and recommendations for session frequency.

Client and Student Obligations

By entering this agreement, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate registration information and inform us of any changes.
  • Ensure the Student attends sessions punctually and is prepared.
  • Provide a safe, quiet, and suitable learning environment.
  • Maintain a reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone.
  • Ensure the Student completes assigned homework; failure to do so may result in termination.
  • Uphold a high standard of respectful conduct during all sessions.

Frequent Learners Subscription

  • Limits:Maximum of three online 1:1 sessions per week, per specific subject-level (e.g., GCSE subscriptions only cover GCSE sessions).
  • Optional Extras:Includes weekly 15-minute drop-in calls (subject to availability) and weekly progress reports upon request.
  • Homework:Setting and marking homework is at the sole discretion of the tutor; no minimum or maximum amount is guaranteed.
  • Availability:We are not liable for a lack of availability for preferred time slots.

Pricing and Payment

  • Up-front Payment:All sessions are paid in advance via Acuity Scheduling (online card payments/Stripe).
  • No Hidden Fees:The price at booking is final, though rates are subject to change at our discretion for future bookings.

  • Breaches:Cancellations outside these windows are non-refundable, except at our sole discretion.
  • Student Lateness:Tutors will wait 10 minutes before the session is forfeited. Sessions end at the original scheduled time regardless of start time.
  • Tutor Cancellation/Lateness:If a tutor is late, they must complete the full hour. If they cancel, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement session.

Intellectual Property (IP)

All proprietary worksheets, software, and resources used during sessions remain the intellectual property of BrainSTEM Tuition Ltd and are for personal student use only.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • No Grade Guarantee:We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes or exam results.
  • Limitation of Liability:Our total liability to any individual booking is limited to the cost of that specific session. For Frequent Learners subscribers, liability is limited to the total fees paid in the current month’s subscription cycle.

Termination of Service

BrainSTEM Tuition Ltd reserves the right to terminate your subscription or services immediately without refund for breaches of these terms, including non-payment, repeated homework violations, or student/parent misconduct.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
